Firstly the County would like to welcome Dr Ian Gibson and Norman Lamb MP who have agreed to become Vice Presidents of Norfolk County Schoolboys Football. We are very grateful for their support and with their help we are sure that we can make the County even more successful in the future.
First of all congratulations to both our U15s and U16s teams for reaching their respective semi-final of their leagues only for the 15s to lose 1-2 to Kent and the 16s 0-6 to a very strong Essex team. Unfortunately our U14s narrowly missed the semi-finals by one point.
Trials
The 2012/13 season trials for Norfolk U14, U15 and U16 squads are coming up again at the beginning of September. As usual we are looking for the best players that we can find to keep up the high standard of football that Norfolk are now achieving, shown by last season's successes. Please complete your forms and send them to our Secretary Dave Kimber asap. If you or any players you know of have not been aware of the trials, download a copy of the trials form and send to Dave or bring with you on the first day of the relevant age group with the £20 fee for the week-end.
As you are aware, we do ask our County players to purchase a County sweatshirt, players use these to wear to and from County games, some take them into school for PE sessions to show they have gained County honours. The tops are good, lasting quality, fully embroided with the Norfolk School's F.A. Crest and will cost £17.00 each (cheques payable to N.S.F.A. please). A combination of Polo Shirt, Sweatshirt and Tracksuit can be purchased for £50.00. They will be available for our first game.
As you are probably aware it costs a great deal of money to run three County teams each season, although we do get small grants, which are reducing each season, we do rely on getting finance from other sources to help us continue. If you work for or know of any business, preferably Norfolk based, although not essential, that might be able to help please let Dave Kimber know
